The annual 50th Anniversary Reunion of Graduates of 1964 was held in the Banquet Hall of the University Club of Western Australia on 31st May 2014. It was a great success with many friendships being rekindled and wonderful stories exchanged.

A Wonderful Reunion for the Graduates of 1964

Before the Reunion luncheon, a very pleasant and successful walking tour of the grounds was led by Ron Bodycoat, the University's Heritage Architect. Others enjoyed a tram tour of the University with an excellent commentary from Terry Larder, Co-ordinator of the UWA Visitors Centre.

Planning for the next 50th Reunion - for UWA students who graduated in 1965 - is well under way, so please spread the word to colleagues and friends.

The Outreach Committee of Convocation arranges the function but would welcome volunteers from among the 1965 graduates to join the committee and assist. Please contact the Office of Convocation if you are interested.

University Tours

In the 2014 Reunion, attendees had the opportunity to take part in one of two tours of the University:

Terry Larder led a guided tram tour through the grounds which provided an opportunity to refresh memories about the University campus and highlight the significance of changes and additions that have been made in recent years.
Ron Bodycoat, Heritage Architect and consultant to the University, guided a 45-minute walk around the Campus starting at the University Club, to highlight artworks and the architecture of the Campus.
