This year's 50th Reunion Celebratory Luncheon for UWA's graduates of 1970 will take place on Saturday 21 November and invitations are about to go out.
Celebrating 50 Years Since Graduation!
Commencing at 11 am with a choice of four walking tours of UWA's beautiful grounds, followed by lunch in Winthrop Hall, this much-anticipated event is not only a significant anniversary, it will also be an extra celebration of being able to come together once again in a relatively COVID-free environment.
WA's fortunate situation means the luncheon can take place while observing COVID-safe guidelines, although current border restrictions may prevent some graduates of 1970, residing outside of the State, from attending.
Any graduates of 1970 unable to attend this year's reunion event are very welcome to participate next year.
Volunteers from the 1970 cohort of graduates have been assisting UWA Convocation Council’s Events Committee to ensure it will be a very memorable and enjoyable occasion.
Other graduates have assumed the role of 'Faculty Anchor', and are poised and ready to create a whirlwind of excitement among their peers, some having already organised their 'Table of Ten'!
Guest speakers from the cohort will regale us with stories of their experiences during their time at UWA, whilst everyone enjoys a delicious lunch in the exquisite Winthrop Hall.
All graduates of 1970 – including those not able to attend – are invited to send in their potted biographies (250-400 words) and a photo to [email protected] by 30 October. These will be included in the Reunion Booklet.
As the invitations are about to 'land', excitement is mounting for the Events Committee and, we trust, for all 1970 graduates, their family members, friends, and graduates from the previous year or two.
