Each year the Convocation of UWA Graduates presents more than 50 prizes and scholarships to undergraduate students, postgraduate students and graduates.

 

All of these prizes and scholarships are made possible by graduates, who contribute to excellence through their generous donations to the capital funds for the Prizes and Awards.

 

Since 1990, Convocation has also sponsored the Sports Star of the Year Award. If you would like more information about this award please visit UWA Sports.

UWA Convocation Postgraduate Research Travel Awards
The Postgraduate Research Travel Awards enable postgraduate research students to enhance and gain new perspectives on their work through travel in Australia or overseas.

Convocation Sports Scholarships
Each year, Convocation makes available a Scholarship to assist one male and one female student to combine their studies with a sporting career.
UWA Convocation Matilda Award for Cultural Excellence
Matilda Award
Convocation, in conjunction with the UWA Student Guild, makes an annual presentation of a cultural award known as the Convocation Matilda Award for Cultural Excellence.
UWA Convocation Outstanding Student Volunteer Award
Convocation recognises the importance and the efforts of volunteers. On the 18th of August 2017, a new Convocation Outstanding Student Volunteer Award was announced.
UWA Convocation Accommodation Scholarship
The Convocation of UWA Graduates and The University of Western Australia provides  a scholarship to assist an eligible regional or remote student with the cost of accommodation at University Hall or other college affiliated with the University.
UWA Convocation Undergraduate Prizes
Convocation wishes to recognise excellence at the undergraduate level and are awarding undergraduate students that have the highest weighted average mark (WAM) with units across semester 1 and 2, of their final year of study.
