2015 Awards Ceremony

On 14 August 2015, Nineteen talented postgraduate students at The University of Western Australia were presented with travel awards to further their research at a special ceremony on campus. The Convocation Postgraduate Research Travel Awards (PGRTA), which enable postgraduate research students to enhance, and to gain new perspectives on, their work through travel in Australia or overseas, were established by Convocation to mark the 75th Anniversary of UWA in 1988.

Founding Families Centenary Event

The late suggestion that a ‘finale’ Centenary event be arranged for relatives of the people directly connected with Irwin St in 1913 led to a flurry of activity for some Historical Society and Convocation members.

Degree Completion and Conferral
Date: 30/04/2015
Recollecting the day they completed their studies is enough for many graduates to either break out in a sweat or to lift a glass to toast the achievement.
